WET hotel Policies

WET is all about fun, so please bear with us while we hash out the rules, as little fun as it might be!

Check In

Guests must be 18 years or older with photo identification to check in. Foreign nationals must present a passport. Photo identification must match the name on an existing or new reservation.

Cancellations, Changes, Early Departure

In the case of a Prepaid Reservation, the reservation is non-refundable / non-cancellable, and the credit card provided is charged the full amount at the time of booking.
In the case of a Cancellable Reservation, you may cancel your reservation up until 3pm Costa Rica time, 3 days before your scheduled arrival date in order to avoid a 1 night penalty of the room rate including applicable taxes.
Any change to your arrival or departure date or room type is subject to availability at the time the modification is requested and may change the rate and/or require payment of cancellation fees.
Rates quoted are based on room type, check-in date and length of stay selected. Should you depart early we may impose an early departure fee.

Accommodation Guarantee

In the case of a Prepaid Reservation, your reservation is being held by the credit card provided at the time of booking. The reservation is non-refundable / non-cancellable, and your full payment at the time of booking guarantees your accommodation.
In the case of a Cancellable Reservation, your reservation is being held by the credit card provided at the time of booking. We may charge the first night room rate including applicable taxes at any time after booking. Your credit card may be charged if you do not check in on your scheduled arrival day, if you shorten your stay after checking in, or if you do not cancel your reservation in accordance with the cancellation policy.

Rate Rules

Rates are confirmed in U.S. dollars. WET might convert your confirmed rate to local currency at the time of your stay, based on the current exchange rate.
Rates confirmed are for a maximum of 2 people per room, per night, and do not include applicable taxes. Taxes shown on your e-mail confirmation are those currently in effect. Taxes are subject to change without notice according to Costa Rica law.

Payment Options

A credit/debit card (valid beyond your stay) and corresponding photo identification is required upon check in.
We might elect to charge the full cost of your accommodation upon check in. You might also have the option to put a hold (effectively, run a tab) on your card for future expenses during your stay, which is settled upon check out.
Alternatively, your card will be pre-authorized at check in for the estimated amount of your entire stay (room rate, an amount for incidentals, plus applicable taxes) and a hold for incidental charges will be taken. It may take 72 hours or longer after check out for your bank to release the credit hold on your account. We are not responsible for any overdraft charges incurred due to the hold.
Cash payment might be an option at check out.

Check In / Check Out Time

Check in is guaranteed at 3pm and check out is at 12pm.

Early Check In / Late Check Out

Rooms may not be available until 3pm. Early check in is extended as a courtesy based upon availability. If your room is available and you wish to check in before 12pm on your day of arrival, we might charge an early check in fee.
If we can accommodate a late check out, we will offer this at our discretion, and a late check out fee might apply.
If a room is not available upon early arrival or if we cannot offer late check out, we are happy to store your luggage for you on check in and/or check out day.

Parking

We cannot guarantee that a car parking space will be available, but you may use our guest parking on a first-come-first-served basis, provided that you have given us your vehicle plate number when you arrive. Parking is free.
We manage our guest parking with reasonable care but we are not liable for theft from /damage to your vehicle. When you park your vehicle in our parking, you accept the risk of theft and/or damage to your vehicle.

Smoking Policy

Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the hotel grounds, including in the guest rooms. There will be a minimum $300 cleaning charge assessed if it is determined that there was smoking in the guest room during your stay. This prohibition includes, but is not limited to, e-cigarettes.

Damages Policy

We will charge you for any damages and/or loss caused by you to any hotel property during your stay.

People Policy

As we said at the outset, WET is all about fun, and it is exclusively offered to Adults.
Having said that, we must insist that all our guests respect their fellow guests, our staff and our property.
We reserve the right to cancel your reservation if at any time during (or prior to) your stay, you exhibit unreasonable or irresponsible behavior towards our staff or other guests, or if we have cause to believe that you are likely to cause damage or loss to our property or facilities.
You must conduct yourself in a reasonable and responsible manner at all times when on hotel property and when liaising with our staff throughout the booking process.
Similarly, you must not act in any way that may disturb other guests. This includes observing and maintaining appropriate social distancing measures and hygiene practices in accordance with Costa Rica guidance. If you do not abide by these principles, we may ask you to leave the hotel, in which case, you must pay all sums due immediately.

Pet Policy

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pets of any kind. We also love your furry friends, but they will have to experience WET vicariously through you, when you tell them all about the fun you had!

Pool Policy

The swimming pool is usually restricted for the use of our hotel guests, but at times, we might invite the public to use it on a limited “day pass” basis. Similarly, we might invite the public to use the pool during “pool parties”, but this will be limited to no more than 3 hours duration in the afternoon, and not more than once per week.
Pool use hours are usually restricted to 8am until 10pm, and we ask that you consider your fellow guests, especially in the morning, should they prefer to sleep in.
Please be aware that pool use is strictly at your own risk, and glass vessels of any kind are NEVER permitted in or around the pool.
Lastly, no peeing in the pool!
